MA/LPN

Family Medicine - Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse Description Will assist the provider throughout clinic with duties including but not limited to: Primarily responsible for lab draws for all patients Serving patients over the phone with RX verification & appointment follow up Occasional scheduling Prepare and maintain patient charts to include insurance, registration, correspondence, laboratory and radiology reports, track and request patient records, slides and films; document as necessary in the charts Schedule and coordinate appointments, scans and tests; confirm appointments; notify appropriate departments, in writing, of daily and weekly patient schedules Receive incoming calls to assist patients, physicians and others with patient-related matters; relay diagnostic test results to patients per physician's discretion; conduct follow-up phone calls to patients with problems and "no-shows" Perform BP, TPR and weight on each patient; responsible for alerting physician of abnormalities Perform medical history on each patient prior to being seen by physician Maintain medical supplies in each exam room and office supplies in clerical area Skills Phlebotomy Vital Signs Additional Skills & Qualifications MA certification or LPN license required BLS Certified Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seymour, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
