TruCare Living Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. The LVN provides direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, person-centered care. The ideal candidate is dependable, clinically strong, and committed to enhancing the health, safety, and quality of life of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to residents, including: Medication administration per physician orders Treatments, wound care, and therapeutic interventions Monitor resident conditions and promptly report changes to the RN or physician Accurately document care, observations, and interventions in the medical record Supervise and direct Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in daily care activities Ensure care plans are followed and updated as needed Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions Promote infection control and ensure compliance with safety standards Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents

Qualifications:

Current Texas LVN license in good standing Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills Ability to lead and supervise a team Ability to work assigned shift (10p-6a), including weekends and holidays as needed Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, organized, and team-oriented

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents (up to 50 lbs or more with assistance) Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Ability to respond quickly in urgent situations Work Environment Skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting Frequent interaction with residents, families, physicians, and staff Possible exposure to infectious diseases and bodily fluids Fast-paced clinical environment requiring strong multitasking abilities Why Join TruCare Living Center? $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
