Candidates must have specific experience in working with special needs children. Your expertise will help autistic individuals with disabilities or developmental delays develop essential skills for daily living, foster independence, and improve overall quality of life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of children working in a dynamic, supportive environment. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position within the RTC should focus on medication management, basic nursing care, health monitoring, medical coordination, and supporting the overall physical and behavioral health needs of youth in a safe and therapeutic environment. Core Focus Areas Medication Administration & Management Administer medications as prescribed, maintain medication documentation, monitor medication compliance, and ensure proper medication storage and counts. Health Monitoring & Nursing Care Monitor youth for medical concerns, illnesses, injuries, side effects, changes in condition, and overall wellness while providing basic nursing care within scope of practice. Medical Coordination Coordinate medical appointments, follow-up care, physician orders, pharmacy communication, and continuity of healthcare services. Behavioral Health Support Observe and report behavioral or emotional changes that may impact treatment, medication effectiveness, or safety concerns. Documentation & Medical Records Maintain accurate medication administration records (MARs), nursing notes, incident reports, physician orders, and healthcare documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Infection Control & Safety Ensure infection control procedures, medication safety practices, emergency medical protocols, and health-related compliance standards are followed. Staff Communication & Support Communicate medical updates, restrictions, medication changes, and health concerns to leadership and interdisciplinary team members. Youth & Staff Education Provide education and guidance regarding medications, health practices, wellness, and medical procedures as appropriate. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence Maintain compliance with nursing standards, RTC regulations, licensing requirements, Medicaid standards, and agency policies. Suggested Role Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing nursing support, medication management, and healthcare coordination for youth within the residential treatment setting. This role helps ensure the physical health, safety, and medical stability of youth while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with nursing, licensing, and RTC regulatory standards.
Pay Rate:
$30-$35.00 per hour full-time Must be On-Call Basic CPR/first aide care for all participants Medical Emergency management for all participants. Current TB Test Background Check/Fingerprints required Associates Degree or Technical Program Certificate and Licensed in
