Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Private Duty Nurse LPN to provide exceptional patient care in a home or community setting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various clinical environments, including, long-term care, and specialized areas such as, geriatrics, and behavioral health. This role requires a compassionate professional proficient in advanced nursing procedures, medical documentation, and patient assessment, with the ability to adapt to diverse patient needs. The successful candidate will ensure safe, effective, and personalized care while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. Here at Butterfly Haven , LLC we want to make a positive impact on our community. We are a Sponsored Residential provider licensed by DBHDS (Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services) to support ID/DD (Intellectually Disabled/Developmentally Disabled) individuals. Some of these individuals are bedridden or have severe medical issues that require a Skilled Nurse . Here is where you come in! We have expanded our services to include Private Duty & Skilled Nursing. I am excited to have you be a part of this journey and join our team. The shifts will be 12 hours; Work Monday & Tuesday; Off Wednesday & Thursday; Work Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. The next week you would be Off Monday & Tuesday; Work Wednesday & Thursday, Off Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. The main duties to be performed for the patient is to administer medications.

There will be some CNA duties like a bed bath, feeding the patient, and changing adult diapers. But it's only 1 patient. LPN pay for days is $40/hr $42 for days on weekends $ 44 for nights on weekdays and $46 for nights on weekends. No taxes will be taken, so a 1099 will be provided at the end of the year, and we can provide the name of someone to get private health insurance . Duties Deliver comprehensive patient care including vital signs monitoring, physical examinations, CNA duties like; bed bath, changing adult, feeding and assessment of physiological status. Administer medications via injections, IV infusions, catheterizations, and other routes following aseptic techniques. Manage airway support including ventilator care and oxygen therapy. Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, wound care (including ostomy), tube feeding, and dialysis support. Conduct diagnostic evaluations and laboratory specimen collection/processing. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and medical documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and post-acute care coordination. Educate patients and families on health coaching, medication administration, disease management (including infectious disease care), and health promotion strategies. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols while maintaining accurate medical records. Skills Extensive clinical experience across multiple specialties including home & community care settings. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology (including botulinum toxin treatments), infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to work with diverse patient populations including intellectually disabled adults, geriatrics (memory/dementia/disease-specific care), behavioral health patients with developmental disabilities or Alzheimer's/dementia care needs. Experience in critical care environments such as familiarity with private duty nursing protocols and acute pain management strategies. Excellent communication skills for assessments and patient education; compassionate approach to working with individuals with disabilities or complex health conditions.
