Job Description

Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community (VMRC) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an ASAP 12-week travel assignment. This is a high-priority "Contract Getter" opportunity offering a consistent 40-hour guarantee on evening shifts within a well-established long-term care community.

Hour Shifts Guaranteed Hours:
40 Hours per Week Position Overview The Licensed Practical Nurse provides high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care environment while collaborating with Registered Nurses, physicians, rehabilitation staff, and interdisciplinary teams. The LPN is responsible for medication administration, resident assessments, documentation, care planning support, and promoting resident safety, comfort, and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and accurately. Monitor, assess, and document changes in resident condition. Provide direct nursing care while maintaining resident dignity and independence. Complete accurate electronic medical record (EMR) documentation. Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges. Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary care teams. Supervise and delegate tasks to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) as appropriate. Respond promptly to resident needs, emergencies, and changes in condition. Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards. Support individualized care plans and participate in interdisciplinary care conferences. Required Qualifications Active Virginia LPN License (or Compact License if applicable) Current BLS Certification Previous Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience preferred Strong medication administration and clinical assessment skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced resident care environment Why This Assignment?
