Job Description

Overview Virginia Oncology Associates, the largest group of medical professionals in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina devoted exclusively to cancer care and blood disorders, has an exciting opportunity for a Prescription Refill LPN to remotely support our offices.

Compensation Range:
$19.50
  • $46.20. Actual compensation will be determined based on locations and job-related factors such as, relevant experience, education, certifications, licensure, and skills that align with the role. Responsibilities Prescription Management
  • Reviewing and processing refill requests from pharmacies or patients, verifying the appropriateness of refill. Collaboration with Healthcare Providers
  • Working closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and to address any potential issues with medications. Medication Education
  • Providing information about medications, including proper usage, to help patients manage their health effectively. Record Keeping
  • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and medication history/refill approvals to ensure compliance and quality care. Position Entails
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, solid understanding of patient care practices, and ability to follow through independently on work.
Qualifications Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education required; BSN preferred Oncology experience strongly preferred Current LPN state license required Current BCLS certification required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires the ability to bend, stoop, twist; assist patients in moving; assist patients in arising from exam table or bed; push wheelchair patients; assist patients in arising from and returning to wheelchair. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
