Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) Gastroenterology

Are you detailed oriented, organized, and a self-starter? Do you enjoy working in a fast paced, fun, learning environment? Are you looking for a work family? VGI is currently recruiting for a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) for our Endoscopy Suite and/or Clinical Team.

Qualifications include:

• Current Licensure in Virginia as an LPN
• BLS (required)
• ACLS (preferred)
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Ability to meet the scheduling needs of the suite
• Must have ability to work well with physicians/team members/patients
• Exhibit positive response to supervision and criticism Responsibilities include:
• Use professional nursing judgement when treating patients
• Assess and monitor patients during all phases of care
• Conducts Pre and Post op Assessments
• Demonstrate competency with documentation in the EHR
• Demonstrate competency with monitoring equipment
• Provide education and instruction to patients and family
• Demonstrate competency with starting IVs
• Participates in the Quality Improvement and Infection Control Programs
• Functions as a member of the endoscopy team. Ability to rotate within the endoscopy suite and clinic as needed.
• Communicates a positive and caring attitude toward patients and their family

Pay:

From $22.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you able to work 6:30am to 4:30pm? Do you have Gastroenterology Experience?
