Job Description

Job Description Colonial Behavioral Health provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their family members in the areas of mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County. We are currently recruiting for a Licensed Practical Nurse within our Medical Services program. This position assists the medical department in the assessment, planning and care of individuals served. Job Duties Provides case monitoring, including assessment of health status, medication side effects, clinical stability, and other needs. Provides training on health topics and individual health needs to program staff and individuals served. Contributes to medical records, including electronic documentation. Ongoing management of the medication supplies room including, but not limited to, the appropriate ordering, storage, handling, and administration of medications. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule Monday.-
Friday:
8am-5pm This position will work primarily with children and adolescents, but may be required to work at additional sites as needed. Qualifications (EEO) Skills and Qualifications Must have knowledge of individuals with serious mental illness, developmental disabilities, and co-occurring disorders. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Ability to assist consumers in problem solving and utilize creative approaches when appropriate. One year of nursing experience with individuals with serious mental illness preferred. Valid driver's license is required. LPN license required. DMV record must be submitted with application. .
