Job Purpose:
Promotes and restores patient's health by completing the nursing process: collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members for surgical and non-surgical consultations and evaluating treatment options with a physician, scheduling surgical and non-surgical treatments at all stages, serving as a liaison between the patient and the practice throughout various stages of the patient visit, providing physical and psychological support to patients; develops, implements, evaluates and manages the care of patients.Job Duties:
Shown are duties intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities:- Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirement; establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological support to patients, families and friends.
- Conduct effective client consultations in order to determine personal needs and goals.
- Ensure patient/client understands and is comfortable with the entire experience through education, communication, consistent messaging and strong follow up.
- Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, family and friends to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions.
- Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; following clinic philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures and controlled substance regulations.
- Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Administrative tasks such as paperwork, referrals, procedure and surgical forms, etc. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories.
- Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care team by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods to accomplish related results as needed.
- Demonstrate strong work ethic and representation of high integrity, ethics, honesty, loyalty and professionalism at-all-times.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Skills/Qualifications:
Clinical Skills, Bedside Manner, Infection Control, Nursing Skills, Physiological Knowledge, Administering Medication, Familiarity with Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Procedures, Medical Teamwork, and Health Promotion and Maintenance. Ability to Develop and Maintain Rapport with Patients, Highly Organized, Multi-Tasking, Active Listening, Superb Oral and Written Communication, and Computer Proficiency with MS Office Suite of Products.Education/Experience:
