Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract A skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is needed to provide dedicated one-on-one nursing support for a first-grade student during the 2026-27 school year. This contract position is based in Tumwater, WA, and involves working approximately 32.5 hours per week within a school environment.
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized nursing care tailored to the needs of a first-grade student Monitor and assess the student's health status throughout the school day Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed Maintain accurate and confidential health records and documentation Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support the student's educational and health goals Implement and monitor health care plans and emergency protocols as necessary Educate school personnel about the student's health needs to promote awareness and safety
Qualifications:
Valid LPN/LVN license in the state of Washington Experience working with pediatric or school-aged children preferred Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care Strong communication and collaboration skills Knowledge of school health policies and procedures is an asset Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a school setting
Location:
Tumwater, WA (32.5 hours per week during the 2026-27 academic year) This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a young student's educational experience through specialized nursing care.
