MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(Education, Training and Special Requirements) Must possess a current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Washington; AND have 12 months of experience in a long term care facility, preferred. Must be knowledgeable of nursing, medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care. Must report abuse and neglect to State Hotline as a mandated reporter. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions. Willing to cover extra shifts when able, as this facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Must successfully clear an extensive Criminal History Background Inquiry and maintain throughout employment. Must maintain a State Drivers' License and be eligible for the Tribes' insurance throughout employment. (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities), continued Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language. Must be knowledgeable in Geriatrics and LTC setting and Chronic Diseases. Must be able to work and think independently. Must respect resident rights. Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such a weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet. Must be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
