Location:
Yakima, WA, 98908 Summary A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers basic nursing care to patients in various settings while working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other medical professionals. Their responsibilities include providing skilled nursing care, educating patients, and coordinating care to ensure optimal health and well-being. The LPN's role is vital in promoting comfort and safety and enhancing the quality of life for clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Deliver skilled nursing services as prescribed by the client's healthcare provider within the LPN scope of practice. Accurately document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and care coordination. Educate clients and families on health conditions, self-care techniques, preventative measures, and address nursing needs. Comply with all documentation requirements per company policy, and state and federal regulations. Facilitate clear and effective communication with relevant parties (e.g., physicians, family members, office staff). Coordinate and acquire necessary client supplies, such as durable medical equipment (DME), wound care supplies, and medications. Protect client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards. Provide nursing services including IV management, pain management, and diabetes management for in-home care clients. Skills and Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Washington. Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare setting. Current CPR/BLS certification. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; dependable and punctual. Basic proficiency in computer use. Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle or public transportation.
