Job Description
VIARO- Mobile Medical Assistant or LPN •Position is a PRN/As Needed Basis 1099 Contracted Position •Contractors may accept or decline assignments Description ViaroHealth is seeking a qualified Independent Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide clinical services at mobile wellness events and client sites. This is a 1099 independent contractor position , not an employee role. This position collaborates with Site Operations & Event Supervisor.
Responsibilites:
Conduct patient intake processes, including verifying identity and collecting relevant health history in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Perform clinical services such as vital signs, point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, vaccinations, and other agreed-upon treatments Document services accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems or other required platforms Submit required reports, including Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) documentation when applicable Apply appropriate infection control practices, including aseptic and sterile techniques Support the flow of mobile wellness events, including participant coordination and service delivery Prepare, maintain, and restock clinical work areas as needed for service delivery Set up and break down mobile wellness event sites Contractor Requirements Active Medical Assistant certification or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience Experience using electronic medical records or similar systems Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to travel to assigned service locations, including multi-day assignments Physical Requirements Travel is required 100% of the time Position involves extensive standing, walking, and reaching, frequent sitting, grasping, manipulation of equipment, and using fine finger movements Occasional kneeling, squatting, twisting or climbing may be necessary based on age group or specific population Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body Ability to support full weight of a patient when necessary Observe our safe practices in assisting patients Background Check Requirements All contracted candidates will be subject to pre-contract background screening for this position, which may include motor vehicle, drug testing and credential checks based upon the position description and requirements. All contracts are contingent upon the successful completion of the background check.Rates:
Per hour contract rate: $25-$40Travel Expenses:
