Position Summary:
Provides nursing care and other support services to patients and families, based on interdisciplinary plan of care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Serves as LPN CC as needed. Performs other related duties as required.
Position Qualifications:
Graduate from approved school of practical nursing. Current unrestricted WV LPN license. Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:
Exposure to infectious diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and bodily fluids. Frequent interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Fast-paced clinical settings with potential for high stress. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients up to 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance. Frequent standing and walking for extended periods (8-12 hour per shift). Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Ability to push and pull equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, stretchers, and medication carts). Visual acuity to read medication labels, physician orders, and monitors. Auditory ability to assess patient needs and respond to alarms or calls for assistance.
