Massage Therapist

Job Overview We are seeking a versatile, highly skilled Integrated massage therapist to join our team. Under the direct supervision of the Chiropractor, you will be responsible for executing comprehensive treatment plans that bridge the gap between passive table work and active functional recovery. Responsibilities Perform manual manipulation of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and soft tissues to treat injuries, relieve pain, and promote systemic wellness. Conduct pre-session evaluations to locate painful or tense areas; talk with clients about medical history, symptoms, and specific treatment goals. Apply various techniques including Swedish, deep-tissue, sports massage, and myofascial release, adapting the approach for diverse populations. Utilize joint mobilization techniques and stretching to increase range of motion and decrease localized stiffness. Competently use hands, forearms, and elbows, along with therapeutic oils or lotions, to achieve desired clinical outcomes. Work directly under the Chiropractor's guidance to implement patient care plans, including gait and balance training and therapeutic interventions. Observe and document patient status before, during, and after therapy sessions, reporting all progress or setbacks directly to the Chiropractor. Maintain a sterile and organized environment; clean and sanitize equipment, wash linens, and prepare the treatment room for each patient. Assist patients in the use of corrective devices, such as walkers or orthopedic supports, to ensure safety and mobility. Perform essential clerical duties including recording clinical notes, scheduling follow-ups, managing insurance forms, and ordering supplies. Lead patients through specific corrective exercises and strengthening routines as prescribed by the Chiropractor to minimize injury recurrence. Demonstrate proper form and watch patients perform movements to ensure safety and efficacy; provide modifications to help patients feel successful. Provide resources on posture improvement, ergonomics, nutrition, and lifestyle changes to support long-term health. Monitor fitness progress and adapt exercise intensity as the patient's physical condition improves. Promote the clinic's services through social media, newsletters, or external events to foster a supportive wellness community. Qualifications Must hold an active status certification in California Massage Therapy Council Deep understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. Exceptional interpersonal skills to motivate patients and explain complex physical concepts simply. Ability to perform manual therapy and demonstrate exercises for extended periods. Current certification in First Aid and CPR. This position is ideal for a practitioner who thrives in a clinical environment and enjoys seeing a patient move from acute pain management (massage) to active functional strength (fitness). Working conditions for rehabilitative massages primarily in brightly lit clinical settings and may include travel to local events. Shifts available are weekday 8am-12pm and 2pm-6pm.

Pay:

$24.00 - $37.69 per hour
