Bixby Knolls/Long Beach, CA Job Details:

$24-32 an hour (DOE, with opportunity for advancement and raises within 6 months) CAMTC certification and liability insurance required 1 year experience massage therapy in a medical office preferred Ability to perform customized 30, 60, or 90 minute massages sessions A comprehensive understanding of Massage rehab techniques for injuries and a solid understanding of gross anatomy Strong communication skills a must. Positive work ethic Willing to work directly with the chiropractor, acupuncturists and experienced massage professionals and develop your skills. Passion for a healthy lifestyle and holistic care Ability to perform Deep Tissue, Sports, Swedish, and prenatal (Lymphatic massage is not required but is a plus).

Responsibilities:

Maintain the standards of proper cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene as outlined by the management and the health department. Proper time management Positive customer interactions Ability to cross-promote services of the clinic Maintain personal accountability for responsibilities Work outside events doing chair/table massages Document S.O.A.P notes Deliver professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address individual client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of concern. Educate clients on self-care practices and post-treatment recommendations to maximize benefits. Maintain detailed records of treatments, patient progress, and any relevant medical history using proper medical terminology and understanding of physiology.. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or medical staff when necessary to support comprehensive patient care.

Skills:

Proven experience in patient service with excellent customer service skills that foster trust and comfort. Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Expertise in various massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy for effective pain management. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop tailored treatment plans. Previous med spa experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with aesthetic or therapeutic environments. Exceptional communication skills for explaining procedures clearly and listening attentively to client concerns.
