About Our Massage Therapists Massage Therapist is a highly trained professional dedicated to enhancing athletic/body performance, facilitating injury recovery, and promoting overall well-being. With expertise in advanced massage techniques, they provide personalized treatments tailored to the unique needs of each client, ensuring optimal results and client satisfaction. Our Massage Therapist works collaboratively with our owner, administrative staff, and other team members maintaining a holistic approach to health and wellness. Their commitment to continuous learning and adherence to the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism make them an integral part of our team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Appointments Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their physical conditions and massage therapy goals Perform sports and deep tissue massage techniques to address specific client needs, including injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client requirements Arrive at appointments on time and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service Communicate and develop good working relationships with staff and repeat clients Provide excellent customer service and massage services to all clientele Clerical Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans Process client payment for additional services rendered outside of membership plan Maintenance Clean treatment room between clients and set up the treatment room for the next client in accordance with standard set-up requirements Training Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all policies, service procedures, and standards Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa Stay updated on the latest massage therapy techniques, industry trends, and best practices Qualifications Valid massage therapy license/certification from an accredited institution Proof of Certificate of Insurance Reliable transportation method to main office in Union City, CA and various satellite locations within the Bay Area. In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build rapport and trust with clients Our Ideal Candidate Has experience working with athletes or sports-related setting, or willingness to be trained Has experience working with pre or post-medical/surgery cases Maintains a professional work ethic and treats all clientele with the same respect and quality of services Helps create a positive and welcoming environment through attitude, communication, and relationship building Possesses a team-oriented mindset Is flexible with their schedule and adaptable to professional and collegiate sports team schedules Availability Hours and days are flexible; minimum 20 hours Monday-Saturday in office Opportunities for Sunday shifts for our teams and satellite locations
Primary Location:
Union City, CA Some travel within the San Francisco Bay Area needed to provide services to our contracted sports teams and executives across the region.
