Responsibilities Perform professional massage therapy sessions, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, tailored to each client's specific needs. Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of concern. Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend ongoing wellness strategies for pain management and injury prevention. Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant medical information. Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or medical staff when necessary to optimize patient care. Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education requirements to enhance skills and knowledge. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification to practice legally. Proven experience in patient service, with strong skills in patient assessment and customized treatment planning. Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques, lymphatic drainage Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients. Knowledge of occupational health principles related to ergonomics and injury prevention for both clients and therapists. Prior experience working in a med spa or similar wellness setting is preferred.
