Massage Therapist

Esplanade at Azario is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Massage Therapist . Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon. Shifts available daily except Friday. 9-2, or 2-6 p.m. 60% commission plus gratuity.

General Purpose:

Performs massage therapy on clients utilizing various modalities and assures the enjoyment and satisfaction of salon patrons. Greets visitors to the salon in a prompt, courteous manner. Administers client's health history and release forms to all new clients. Evaluates client's health history by asking pertinent questions to become aware if contraindications exist. Discusses client's needs, expectations and past experience with massage prior to performing the service. Performs various types of massages on clients utilizing different modalities including but not limited to: Swedish, Deep tissue, Sports, Therapeutic, Reflexology and Shiatsu. Provides educated explanation of massage techniques used. Offers suggestions for overall health and general wellbeing after the massage (e.g., stretches, yoga, or referral to a physician) while noting that a massage therapist cannot prescribe or diagnose a client's condition. Operates salon computer accurately and properly books all appointments for all salon staff when scheduled and during the absence of the receptionist. Answers incoming phone calls promptly and in a polite, courteous manner when scheduled and during the absence of the receptionist. Maintains professional service-oriented demeanor. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as required. Certificate from college, technical school or accredited facility; and three to six months related experience and/or training. Frequently uses hands, reaches with hands and arms, talks, hears, stands and walks. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, tastes or smells. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds. Occasionally works in hot, wet or humid conditions (non-weather). Noise level is moderate. Current State Massage Therapist license and other creditable certificates, CPR and First Aid Certification. Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
