Part-time Job Summary:
We are a happy and high-energy Chiropractic office looking to grow our family with a new Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)! Responsibilities include welcoming patients, guiding them to treatment areas, and providing treatments based on your expertise and doctor recommendations. Sessions typically range from 15-30 minutes. We are seeking morning availability alongside PRN/coverage support—an excellent opportunity for someone looking to pick up extra hours.
Job Responsibilities:
Greet and communicate with patients in a professional, friendly manner. Perform massages and treatments according to patient needs and doctor recommendations. Maintain accurate records of treatments provided. Ensure treatment rooms are clean, sanitized, and fully stocked. Adhere to all company policies, state licensure requirements, and current laws governing massage therapy. Stay informed of current industry trends and best practices. Address patient concerns, resolve complaints, and report incidents as needed. Collaborate with staff across departments to ensure excellent patient care. Maintain professional appearance, grooming, and ethical standards at all times. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Current massage therapy license (required). Minimum of 1 year's experience as a licensed massage therapist. Working knowledge of chiropractic benefits ( preferred, not required ). Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, body mechanics, modalities, and contraindications.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to maintain discretion and patient confidentiality. Skilled at adapting massage techniques to patient needs. Able to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and focused. Consistently perform work to high standards and within time limits.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for extended periods; walk, bend, kneel, and stoop. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Details:
The LMT is responsible for their own sheets and lotions. Morning hours roughly from 7am-1pm M-F with extended hours available should you want more. Optional 12:30-6:30pm shift available instead. Must choose 1 and stick with it. Documentation is very simple and performed inside our software. Typical note takes 1-2 minutes per client. There is 1 other therapist on staff who is strong and capable, so you would have someone to trade services with should you desire to do so. (not required). Paychecks are direct deposit and sent out on weekly basis. This is a W2 employement position.
