Job Description
Grove Fitness Club & Spa is seeking a talented, self-motivated therapist who is passionate about health and therapeutic massage. You will be an independent contractor and receive a great commission. There is no space rent. Linens will be washed and stocked for you. You provide your own massage cream or oil. We hold high; education, inspiration and a healthy lifestyle. We believe in nurturing your skills and confidence so that you can offer great customer service, while building and expanding your own clientele. We work as a team, giving you the support you need to make the most of your career. We are currently looking for one therapist. Part time / On Call. Needed hours are mostly afternoon and evening (roughly 2pm-7pm all days), with additional varying help for couples massages. Pay is on a sliding scale based on how many hours you work per week. Full time is a minimum of 28 hours of availability per week and commission is 60% of all massages performed plus tips. Part time is considered fewer than 28 hours of availability and commission is 40% plus tips.
Duties & Responsibilities Dress Code:
Professional attire, comfortable for massage Arrive at least 15 minutes before each appointment. Be set up and ready on time. Greet guests in a friendly fashion and ensure guests are comfortable throughout their experience Keep availability and scheduled hours Be responsible for and consistently check your schedule for clients Demonstrate exceptional customer service to exceed guest expectations Provide body care and massage services through a variety of modalities Serve as an expert in muscle and body analysis and maintenance regimens Consistently increase guest retention by building relationships and re-booking clientele Drive service through designed promotions and events Proactively develop new clientele while building upon current guests relationships Participate in promoting self to build business with club interaction to build clientele Qualifications Massage Therapy License and Insurance Strong professional presentation, technical ability and relationship building skills Although not necessarily required, having skill in advanced body care such; as Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release, Hot Stone Therapy, Acupressure, Reflexology, or Pregnancy, may benefit employment opportunities Licenses / Certifications / Registrations Follow all current state salon/spa regulations for cleanliness and sanitation Appropriate State/County/City Massage Therapy License Physical Requirements Able to stand for extended periods of time Part-time to full time, on call Required education: High school or equivalent Required license or certification:Massage Therapist Benefits:
