Job Summary Join our team as an Independent Contractor Massage Therapist and bring your passion for healing and wellness to clients seeking relief, relaxation, and improved health. In this dynamic role, you will deliver professional massage services tailored to individual needs, utilizing your expertise to promote pain relief, muscle recovery, and overall well-being. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to set your schedule while providing exceptional patient care in a supportive environment. Your skills will help clients achieve their health goals through personalized massage therapy sessions that emphasize comfort, safety, and effective results. Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address specific client concerns. Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual physiology and medical history. Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective therapy sessions. Educate clients on self-care practices and occupational health strategies to maintain long-term wellness. Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient responses, and progress notes for each session. Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with clients to develop customized treatment plans aimed at pain management and overall health improvement. Skills Strong patient service skills with a focus on empathetic communication and active listening. Proficiency in patient assessment techniques to identify specific needs and tailor treatments accordingly. Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other advanced massage modalities. Knowledge of pain management strategies and how they relate to musculoskeletal health. Solid understanding of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly. Experience working in a med spa or occupational health setting is highly desirable for this role.
