) We are seeking a compassionate, professional licensed massage therapist to join our team as a Mobile Massage Therapist serving clients throughout the Hendersonville area and surrounding communities. Active Tranquility is proud to have fostered relationships with local healthcare providers, hospital systems, and independent medical practitioners, and we need a mobile massage therapist to help us serve this often-underserved population! This job will begin as a part time/as needed position while this new service grows, and will serve as an excellent opportunity for a massage therapist to earn supplemental income (we boast the most generous commission splits in town!) and learn more about working with our wide range of clientele. Compensation 1099 OR W2: you choose! Commission-based pay ranging from 70-80%, plus 100% of tips, plus 100% of any applicable distance fees Commission tiers available based on experience and/or existing clientele We will provide all of the supplies you need except transportation: table, linens, stool, tools, towel warmer, lotion/oil, personal safety items, etc. What We Offer Flexible scheduling — set your own availability and avoid the churn and burnout of high-volume business models. Assistance with paying for CE hours Clientele May Include Individuals recovering from surgery or illness Clients undergoing intensive medical treatments Clients with mobility limitations Immunocompromised individuals Busy professionals and wellness-focused clients who prefer in-home care You may be visiting assisted living communities, nursing homes, hospice centers, and/or private residences Requirements Active North Carolina massage therapy license Current liability insurance Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally (Hendersonville, Flat Rock, and surrounding area). Professional, compassionate, and adaptable demeanor Ability to independently manage mobile appointments and setup Willingness to collaborate on marketing campaigns New grads welcome if you have a strong motivation to learn and a desire to play an active part in growing and retaining your clientele. Nice to Have (Not Required) Prior professional massage experience/mobile massage experience Experience working with medically complex or mobility-limited populations Interest in helping grow a community-centered mobile wellness program This role is best suited for a therapist who is excited to help build something meaningful while delivering exceptional care the Active Tranquility way.
