Stein Hospice & Palliative Care - Massage Therapist - Per Diem Hospice Massage Therapists provide palliative care to patients in their final stages of life. They utilize different massage techniques to alleviate pain, reduce stress, and promote relaxation and well-being in their patients. They have the following duties and responsibilities: Evaluate the patient's physical and emotional condition through observation and medical history Design individualized massage plans to improve patient comfort and quality of life Apply different massage techniques based on the patient's condition and doctor's advice Adapt massage techniques as necessary to accommodate a patient's health changes or discomfort Maintain professional and empathetic communication with patients, family members, and healthcare team Observe and report any significant changes in a patient's condition to the hospice care team Maintain patient confidentiality and respect the patient's wishes and rights Keep detailed records of treatments provided and progress made for each patient Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including sanitation and infection control guidelines Qualifications Valid New Jersey Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy license Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to massage therapy. Experience in pain management and customer service is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
