The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing professional massage and body services to guests in accordance with accepted industry standards. All services are performed within the guidelines of Downstream Casino Resort's policies, procedures, and service standards to ensure a high-quality guest experience. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provide professional massage and body treatments to guests based on their individual needs and preferences Consult with guests to determine appropriate services and treatment plans Evaluate clients to identify areas of tension, pain, or stress Customize massage techniques to meet guest needs and ensure comfort throughout the service Maintain clear and professional communication with guests before, during, and after treatments Educate guests on stretching, relaxation techniques, and home care recommendations Follow all spa protocols and industry standards for treatments and services Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of treatment rooms, tools, and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards Prepare treatment rooms between guests, including restocking linens, supplies, and products Ensure seamless guest flow to prevent delays between services Provide exceptional guest service by using guest names and maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor Prepare guests for post-treatment transition, including providing robes, slippers, and directions to spa amenities Offer refreshments and escort guests to relaxation areas or locker rooms as appropriate Engage guests upon departure, gather feedback on their experience, and encourage return visits Promote spa services and recommend retail/home care products to meet sales goals Maintain strict confidentiality of all guest information Attend required training sessions and staff meetings Follow all company policies, procedures, and attendance guidelines Assist with additional duties or special projects as assigned Requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment Must hold and maintain all required state and local massage therapy licenses Strong knowledge of various massage techniques and body treatments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to provide outstanding customer service in a professional environment Must maintain a polished, professional appearance Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening
