As a Massage Therapist, you will tailor massage treatments to your patient's individual needs and health goals. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in a variety of massage styles, possess a deep knowledge of human anatomy and the musculoskeletal system, and work well as part of a holistic wellness team. You will be working in between both location and will be able to provide telehealth. Can not be out of state
Core Responsibilities Client Consultation:
Review medical histories, discuss symptoms, and understand the client's desired outcomes or treatment goals.
Assessment & Planning:
Evaluate the client's soft tissues, muscle strength, and range of motion to develop an appropriate treatment plan.
Manual Therapy:
Apply pressure, kneading, and movement using hands, fingers, forearms, or elbows to manipulate muscles, tendons, and ligaments.
Specialized Modalities:
Perform specific techniques such as deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point therapy, sports massage, or prenatal massage depending on client needs.
Client Education:
Provide guidance on posture, stretching, strengthening, and overall relaxation techniques.
Administration:
Document treatment progress, manage client bookings, and track sessions.
Sanitation:
Maintain a clean workspace, sanitize equipment, and properly wash linens between clients.
Requirements & Qualifications Education:
Completion of postsecondary education (typically 500+ hours of study) covering anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology.
Licensing:
Valid state or regional massage therapy license/certification.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive, physically demanding motions while applying varying levels of pressure.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, empathy, decision-making skills, and the ability to maintain client confidentiality.
