Duties Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address clients' specific needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns, preferences, and treatment goals. Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to develop effective treatment plans that support pain management and occupational health. Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies to enhance their recovery process. Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress and treatment notes, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Provide excellent patient service by creating a welcoming atmosphere, listening actively, and addressing client questions or concerns with professionalism. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or med spa staff to ensure comprehensive care for clients seeking relaxation or therapeutic treatments. Skills Strong patient service orientation with the ability to connect empathetically with clients. Proficiency in patient assessment techniques to identify individual needs accurately. Expertise in advanced massage techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy. Knowledge of pain management strategies and how massage therapy can support recovery. Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building lasting client relationships. Experience working in a med spa or similar setting is highly desirable, along with familiarity with occupational health practices.
