We are seeking an experienced Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) who is interested in joining a fast-paced functional health clinic located in Dripping Springs, TX. As a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), you will be an integral part of the patient's care plan. We are seeking people who have a pleasant demeanor, a good attitude, skilled in muscle work, handling patient education, assisting in physical modalities, and x-ray skills is a plus. Due to the nature of working in healthcare, maintaining a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality are critical. Your responsibilities will also include patient care, rehab, therapy assistance, and patient education.Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct an initial patient assessment of the client's physical condition and health history. This can help the therapist determine the best approach and techniques to use during the massage.
- Create a treatment plan that includes specific massage techniques (deep tissue, trigger point, and other specialized techniques), the frequency of sessions, and any additional self-care recommendations.
- Perform massages on clients. This may involve using various techniques and modalities to help clients relax, reduce stress, relieve pain, and improve circulation.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of each client's health history, assessments, progress, and treatment plans. This helps ensure that each session is tailored to the client's specific needs and that progress is tracked over time.
- Educate clients about the benefits of massage therapy, how to maintain good posture and body mechanics, and other self-care techniques that can improve overall health and well- being. Collaborate as part of the interdisciplinary team to support occupational health and acute pain management.
- Build a client base and promote their services, massage therapists may engage in marketing and promotional activities, such as creating a website, offering special discounts, and attending community events.
Position Requirements:
- Successful completion of an accredited Massage Therapy program.
- Current, unencumbered certification or licensure as a Massage Therapist.
- Adherence to professional standards of ethics and conduct. This may include completing continuing education courses to stay up to date on the latest techniques and research in the field.
- Proficiency in deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Experience in patient assessment and personalized treatment planning.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
