Licensed Massage Therapist Position Overview:

Fern & Fae Massage Studio in Vancouver, WA is seeking a skilled and compassionate massage therapist to join our team. As a massage therapist at Fern & Fae, you will provide professional and personalized massage therapy services to clients, promoting relaxation, healing, and overall well-being. Your role will involve assessing clients' needs, delivering customized treatments, and ensuring an exceptional experience at our studio. A bonus would be a massage therapist with expertise or interest in energy work, but please note that this is not a requirement.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their specific concerns, health history, and treatment goals. Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, and myofascial release, tailored to meet clients' individual needs and preferences. Create a soothing and serene environment, ensuring clients feel comfortable and at ease throughout the massage therapy session. Educate clients about the benefits of massage therapy and providing guidance on self-care practices and techniques they can incorporate into their daily lives to enhance their overall wellness. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including treatment notes, progress reports, and any relevant information obtained during consultations. Stay informed about the latest massage therapy techniques and industry advancements through continuing education and professional development. Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards of conduct as defined by relevant regulatory bodies. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, such as chiropractors, naturopaths, or holistic practitioners, to ensure comprehensive and integrated client care. If applicable; Incorporate energy work modalities such as Reiki, chakra balancing, acupressure, or other energy healing techniques into massage sessions to enhance the therapeutic benefits and promote the body's natural healing processes. Stay informed about the latest energy work modalities and industry advancements through continuing education and professional development Educate clients about the benefits of energy work, providing guidance on self-care practices and techniques they can incorporate into their daily lives to enhance their overall wellness. Assess clients' energy flow and energy centers to identify imbalances or blockages and apply appropriate energy work techniques to restore balance and promote optimal well-being.

Qualifications:

A year or more of massage therapy experience is preferred but not required. Valid and current state license or certification as a Massage Therapist is required. Certified to accept insurances is preferred. Strong knowledge of human anatomy, and physiology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients and effectively address their needs. Empathy, compassion, and a client-centered approach to deliver personalized treatments and ensure client comfort. Ability to adapt massage techniques based on individual client requirements, conditions, and treatment goals. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and organized client records. Professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to providing exceptional client care. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and accommodate varying client schedules. Bonus but not required; Certification or training in energy work modalities such as Reiki, chakra balancing, acupressure, or other energy healing techniques. Proven experience in providing therapeutic massage treatments with a focus on integrating energy work into sessions. Strong knowledge of the body's energy system.
