Scheduled Weekly Hours:
20 Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a Certified/Licensed Massage Therapist to join our hospice outreach team as an independent 1099 contractor. Embrace the autonomy and variety of hospice care while collaborating directly with our clinical team. What You'll Do:
As a Certified Hospice Massage Therapist, you'll play a vital role in alleviating patients' symptoms and promoting comfort through personalized massage therapy interventions tailored to each patient's individualized care plan, working under the direction of the Clinical Director. Massage will include manual applications of compression, stretch, vibration , mobilization of the tissues beneath the dermis including the components of the musculoskeletal system, peripheral vessels of the circulatory system and fascia.
Major responsibilities include:
Performs health history on clients and update prior to each session; ascertains precautions/contradictions for massage prior to each session Explain procedures and applies techniques appropriate to client needs and preferences. Manipulate muscles or other soft tissues of the body Observe client reaction to massage and solicit feedback then modifies and responds accordingly Document client's condition and progress in electronic medical record Responsible for maintaining compliance with all HIPAA regulations and requirements. Treats all patient information as confidential and utilizes protected health information on a minimum necessary basis Performs other job-related responsibilities as requested
What Available:
1099 independent contractor as a self-employed individual/freelancer Service area of 50-mile radius of La Crosse, WI specifically servicing La Crosse, Sparta, Tomah, and Viroqua areas; average of 10-20 patients visits weekly Flexible schedule, based on individual preference. Typically weekday daytime hours, with some potential early evenings and weekends Fixed hourly rate and mileage reimbursement
What You'll Need:
Graduate of an Accredited Massage Therapy Program Wisconsin Massage Therapist and Bodywork Therapist License (MTBT-WI) Will complete an independent consultant agreement with our legal services department, must carry your own liability insurance Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross 2 years' experience performing massage therapy as a licensed or certified massage therapist Prior Hospice experience
