Medical Assistant Student - Scholarship Southcentral Foundation - 3.9 Anchorage, AK Job Details 20 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The Medical Assistant (MA) Student will, under limited supervision, be fully funded to attend a Medical Assistant training program from a selected Anchorage college or university and pass a national Medical Assistant exam resulting in certification and eligibility work as a medical assistant for Southcentral Foundation. Upon completion of the Medical Assistant training program, to include passing the national certifying exam, the MA Student will be placed in a medical assistant position within one of SCF's various clinics. This scholarship and post-training job placement requires a service obligation agreement. The applicant will be given a choice of approved programs including day or evening accelerated programs or traditional Associate degree-programs. These programs may have different lengths of service obligations. The applicant will be expected to attend minimal time commitment monthly outside of classroom work for additional skill building at Southcentral Foundation. The applicant will be expected to dedicate time and attendance in accordance with the college or university expectations and maintain good academic status.
Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or GED. 2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Native Preference:
Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.
Employee Health Requirements:
Compliance with our Employee Health procedure is a condition of SCF employment. You are required to agree that you will comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to your first day of employment. Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position, requires that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis), and
COVID-19.
