Medical Assistant - Weekends Polaris Medical Group Anchorage, AK Job Details Part-time 13 hours ago Benefits Wellness program 401(k) Qualifications Attention to detail Patient care Organizational skills Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support physicians performing Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs) and other workers' compensation-related services. In this role, you will assist with patient coordination, clinical support during evaluations, and documentation processes to ensure efficient and professional delivery of medical-legal services.
Scope of Work:
Assist physicians during Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs) Prepare patients for evaluations by explaining the process Ensure exam areas are organized and appropriately prepared for evaluations Assist with workers' compensation-related documentation and processes Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and applicable regulations
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
This role operates in an orthopedic office setting. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds is required. The role involves standing, stooping, kneeling, and walking. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate equipment is necessary. Visual acuity is required to prepare exam areas. Use of a telephone is also required.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical support role Ability to work independently Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant seeking flexible part-time weekend work, and collaboration with physicians in a specialized setting.
