Position Summary:

The Clinical Assistant 2 supports providers in a fast-paced ambulatory and urgent care setting by performing both clinical and administrative duties. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, assisting with procedures, performing point-of-care testing, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring efficient patient flow. The role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a team-oriented healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical history, and medication information. Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures. Perform specimen collection, POCT testing, EKGs, nebulizer treatments, ear lavage, cast removal, and other approved clinical procedures. Provide patient education and discharge instructions as directed. Maintain exam rooms, medical equipment, and supply inventory. Utilize EMR systems for accurate documentation and order processing. Support clinic operations through scheduling assistance, patient communication, and cross-coverage when needed.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. Current BLS Certification required. Completion of a Medical Assistant program, CNA, EMT, Community Health Aide training, or equivalent healthcare experience. Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience preferred. Urgent Care experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, patient triage, and electronic medical records. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
