Job Description

Job description: This position supports eye care services to patients of all ages. The role involves developing and applying skills as a Medical Assistant, including optical and imaging duties through on-the-job training and self-learning modules. Strong customer service, attention to detail, clear communication, and timely documentation are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities Medical Assistant Duties Room and screen patients for providers Perform optical and point-of-care lab testing Accurately document patient information in a timely manner Assist with optical services including: Benefits verification Frame selection and measurements Order entry and payment collection Order verification, dispensing (glasses and contacts) Adjustments, repairs, and warranty replacements Manage inventory including ordering, cleaning, returns, and frame placement Assist with invoice approval and reconciliation Imaging Acquire ocular imaging (photos, OCT, visual fields, topography) Enter imaging data into medical records for provider review Administrative Support Assist with triage and scheduling of referred, recalled, or diabetic patients Handle phone calls, patient inquiries, and documentation Coordinate with Referral Care Coordinators and providers Support patient referral processes Maintain office and medical supplies Additional Responsibilities Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times Collaborate with team members to support patient care and organizational goals Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Education & Certifications High School Diploma or GED BLS Certification Experience Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience required Additional Details Strong communication and organizational skills required Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment Opportunities for growth through structured career ladder progression. #MedicalAssistant#HealthcareJobs#Optometry#PatientCare#ClinicalSupport#AlliedHealth#NowHiring#HealthcareCareers#MedicalJobs#EyeCare #healthcare
