Position Overview The Nationally Certified Clinical Assistant 2 provides patient care to infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, and elderly patients within a rural ambulatory care clinic setting. This position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient clinic operations, supporting patient flow, and maximizing provider efficiency to ensure timely patient access to healthcare services. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and experience supporting providers in outpatient clinic operations.

Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Retirement Plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Parental Leave Life Insurance Long-Term & Short-Term Disability Professional Development Opportunities Career Growth Support Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Patient Care Obtain and document age-appropriate vital signs including: Temperature Blood Pressure Height & Weight Respiration Pulse Oximetry Visual Acuity Testing Update and confirm patient medical history and medications Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and treatments Assist providers with minor office procedures and treatments Support efficient patient flow and clinic operations Monitor patients and recognize symptoms requiring prompt intervention Point of Care Testing & Procedures Perform specimen collection and Point of Care Testing (POCT) Follow proper specimen collection, labeling, and transport protocols Assist with: Nebulizer Treatments Ear Lavage Cast Removal Dressing Changes Oxygen Application Peak Flow Testing 12 Lead EKGs DM Foot Screenings Assist patients with ambulation and transfers Documentation & Administrative Duties Maintain accurate EMR documentation and patient records Process provider orders and data entry Maintain organized patient charts and medical forms Schedule follow-up labs and procedures Answer phones and assist with patient communication Participate in clinic workflow coordination Equipment & Room Maintenance Prepare and sanitize exam rooms between patients Process and maintain surgical equipment Monitor and organize lab supplies and equipment Maintain inventory and reorder medical supplies Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly QA checks Dispose of infectious and biohazard materials according to infection control standards Patient Education & Support Provide discharge instructions and educational materials Support patient health coaching initiatives Deliver compassionate and professional patient care
Certification:
Current BLS Certification required Candidates applying for Urgent Care MUST have prior Urgent Care experience.
