Summary:
Works under the supervision of RNs and LPNs to provide assistive care and communication for patients, team members, professional, and technical staff, and visitors.
Other information:
Candidate must have at least one of the following: Six months of patient care experience within the last two years. Enrolled in a medical related college program and in clinical rotation. CNA,CMA, PCT or EMT certification. Credentials with

1 Year job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Patient Care Support or any of the following equivalent qualifications below: Certified Nursing Assistant Certified Medical Assistant AAMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certified Medical Assistant ARMA Certified Patient Care Technician Certified Emergency Medical Technician ADPH 9 Quarterback is an 18 bed unit that provides nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative pediatric patients ages birth to young adults. This range in age creates a unit which offers exposure to great diversity in terms of age and developmental stages of patients, as well as diversity in surgical diagnosis and procedures. It is a challenging backdrop for those nurses with experience, as well as for those new graduates seeking to develop a strong and varied knowledge base in pediatric surgical nursing.
