To assist physician or other healthcare team member with completion of treatment/protocol. To perform simple, non-invasive patient procedures according to applicable policy and/or protocol. May perform various clerical and/or lab duties as requested. Responds to the unique needs of all patients ages newborn through geriatric. All candidates for this position must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment. Key Duties & Responsibilities Performs specific, non-invasive clinical procedures to prepare patient or research participant for treatment or research protocol. Assists physician or other healthcare team member in administering direct and indirect treatment. Adheres to all applicable policies and protocols. Performs clerical tasks as requested including, but not limited to, scheduling, maintaining patient charts, typing, and insurance filing. May perform lab activities as requested such as venipuncture and referring specimens for testing. Participates in quality improvement initiatives. Provides a safe environment for patients and others. Responds to the unique needs of all patients ages newborn through geriatric. Demonstrates a responsible attitude toward continued professional growth. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements High School diploma or GED required.
