Birmingham, AL Job Details Part-time 9 hours ago Qualifications Direct patient care Vital signs Multitasking Electronic health records (EHR) management High school diploma or GED Managing patient records Medical terminology Full Job Description Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will support podiatrists and other healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced setting. This position assists with patient care, prepares patients for examinations and procedures, performs clinical duties within scope of practice, and helps ensure efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities Greet and escort patients to examination rooms. Obtain and document vital signs, chief complaints, medical history, medication lists, and other relevant information. Prepare patients for podiatric examinations and procedures. Assist providers during office visits, nail procedures, injections, and minor surgical procedures. Document clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record. (EMR) Stock examination rooms and procedure areas. Monitor and maintain clinical supply inventory. Podiatry experience preferred but not required.
