Role:
Join American Family Care as a full-time Medical Assistant in Cullman, AL, where you will play a vital role in providing top-notch patient care. Be part of a dynamic team dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our community.
Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed. Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation. Schedule appointments and maintain a welcoming environment for patients. Educate patients on treatment plans and preventive care. Support front office operations including patient check-in and check-out. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical assisting preferred. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a healthcare setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures. Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems. Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach.
