Our small team works closely together in a fast-paced environment where efficiency, professionalism, and compassion are essential. Position Summary We are seeking a reliable, organized, and friendly Medical Receptionist / Administrative Medical Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. This role combines front office responsibilities with administrative and clinical support tasks to ensure smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities Answer and manage a high volume of incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently Greet patients and visitors with a welcoming and positive demeanor Check patients in and out, ensuring accurate collection of information and copays Schedule and confirm appointments, procedures, and referrals Coordinate insurance prior authorizations and verify benefits Maintain and update patient medical records in the electronic health record (EHR) system Perform data entry and prepare patient charts ahead of appointments Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and external offices Assist with general administrative duties and support the physician as needed Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting Strong computer skills and ability to learn EHR systems quickly Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations Knowledge of medical terminology Experience in a specialty clinic setting What We're Looking For A team player with a positive attitude Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Professional and courteous with patients and staff Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
