Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant join our rheumatology practice in Hoover, AL. If you are experienced, motivated, energetic, organized, and dependable to provide compassionate care to our valued patients, this could be the long-term opportunity you have been seeking. Our office hours are Mon-Thru 7:30am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm.
Responsibilities:
Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments Perform chart review for upcoming appointments to ensure that labs and other reports have been received Take vital signs, triage patients and perform detailed review of medications and medical history Return patient calls & portal messages Communicate lab results reports to patients Refill medications / prior authorizations Assist with front desk -scheduling appointments/procedures, verifying insurance coverage, entering new patient information, collecting payments, and answering phones Assist with maintaining patient flow to ensure patients are seen timely and efficiently Other clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the practice
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience as a medical assistant - rheumatology experience is a plus Technology and computer savvy Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills BLS Certification a plus
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
