Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical support, patient care, and medical administrative tasks within diverse medical settings such as outpatient clinics, hospital environments, or specialty practices. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care while supporting physicians and healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Duties Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments across various specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, and emergency medicine. Take and record vital signs accurately while assessing patient physiology and medical history for proper documentation. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and managing intake processes efficiently. Support medical procedures such as X-ray imaging, medication administration, and basic life support in compliance with safety standards. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems by documenting patient information, ICD coding for diagnoses, and updating medical histories precisely. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit. Assist with inpatient or outpatient care activities in hospital or clinic settings, including Geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Level I/II trauma centers when applicable. Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required; prior experience in hospital medicine, urgent care, or related fields is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Experience working with EHR systems and familiarity with hospital or clinic workflows is essential. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic emergency procedures including BLS (Basic Life Support). Prior experience in hospital environments or Level I/II trauma centers is preferred; familiarity with medical-surgical units or outpatient clinics enhances suitability. Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care are vital for success in this role. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced settings such as emergency medicine or internal medicine units.
