This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, with a focus on medication management support, patient safety, and efficient clinic operations. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a mental health setting.
Schedule Monday-Thursday:
12:30 PM - 5:00
PM Friday:
8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties Obtain and document patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature. Perform urine testing as ordered, including urine drug screening, and accurately document results. Prepare patients for medication management appointments and assist with clinical procedures as appropriate. Monitor patients for adverse reactions and promptly report concerns to the provider. Maintain a safe, professional, and supportive environment for patients. Administrative & Back Office Duties Assist with prescription-related administrative tasks, including refill coordination, pharmacy communication, and prior authorization support. Coordinate communication and documentation with external healthcare providers to support continuity of patient care. Manage appointment reminders, patient communications, payment collection, and administrative workflows to ensure efficient clinic operations. Assist patients with scheduling follow-up appointments and coordinating care as directed. Provide occasional front-desk support during high-volume periods. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). QualificationsRequired Prior experience in a medical clinic setting. Experience obtaining vital signs and performing urine testing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Professional communication skills and a commitment to patient confidentiality. Preferred Previous experience in a behavioral health or mental health setting. Familiarity with medication management workflows, prescription refill processes, and prior authorizations. Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
