GED Full Job Description Job Duties:
Prepares clinic and casting rooms prior to patient arrival. Receives patients from the waiting area and escorts them to exam rooms or radiology as appropriate. Obtains and documents patient medical history, physical data, and vital signs in the electronic medical record (EMR). Updates patient status accurately within the EMR system. Collaborates with providers to support the evaluation and management of acute and chronic orthopedic conditions. Interprets and integrates clinical data to assist in determining appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Orders and facilitates appropriate diagnostic imaging, including x-rays, as directed by providers. Prepares medications and injections as ordered by the provider. Assists physicians with in-office procedures, including joint and fluid aspirations, minor laceration suturing, fracture reductions, and post-reduction casting or splinting. Applies and removes casts and splints, performs minor wound care, and fits durable medical equipment (DME) as ordered by the provider. Educates patients and family members on medications, treatment plans, and at-home care instructions. Informs patients of down payment and total cost amounts for DME based on insurance coverage and completes required documentation. Maintains accurate, complete, and up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation. Triages patient phone calls and provides appropriate clinical guidance within scope. Maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Ensures exam and casting rooms remain clean, organized, and properly stocked. Performs other related duties as assigned.

7:30am ~ 5:00pm Monday through Friday Experience Required 1 year(s): Clinical setting Education Required High School or better
