In this energetic position, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative duties that ensure smooth clinic operations and outstanding patient experiences. Your expertise in medical procedures, patient service, and healthcare systems will contribute to a compassionate, efficient environment focused on health and well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, updating records, and verifying insurance information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately and efficiently. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Support clinical procedures including medication administration, wound care, basic X-ray imaging, and specimen collection under physician supervision. Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, ICD coding for diagnoses, and procedural notes to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Manage medical supplies inventory, sterilize equipment, and ensure clinical areas are clean and organized. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, scheduling follow-ups, and coordinating referrals to specialists such as dermatology or geriatrics clinics. Experience Prior experience working in hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or urgent care centers is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to inpatient and outpatient care environments. Experience with Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers enhances your ability to handle emergency medicine scenarios effectively. Familiarity with hospital experience including PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics programs, or medical-surgical units is advantageous. Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation and ICD coding ensures accurate recordkeeping and billing processes. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as X-ray operation or OR experience are a plus. Previous roles involving inpatient care or hospital experience will prepare you to excel in fast-paced settings requiring quick thinking and adaptability.
