Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Position Summary Talantage is seeking Certified Medical Assistants to support clinical operations by assisting healthcare providers, performing patient care activities, and delivering exceptional customer service in a public health clinic environment. Essential Responsibilities Greet and register patients. Obtain and record vital signs. Collect patient medical histories. Perform pregnancy testing and STI screening under provider supervision. Prepare patients for examinations. Assist providers during examinations and procedures. Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals. Perform clerical duties including data entry, filing, and telephone support. Maintain Electronic Health Record documentation. Provide health education materials to patients. Assist with clinic setup and inventory management. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Current Medical Assistant certification or certificate of completion. Current CPR certification. Current TB screening and immunization records. Fingerprint Clearance Card. Seven-year criminal background clearance. Experience in outpatient, women's health, family practice, or public health preferred. Preferred Qualifications (All Positions) Experience working in public health, community health, family planning, or reproductive health. Experience administering immunizations. Knowledge of HIPAA and infection prevention standards. Proficiency using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Strong interpersonal and patient education skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Commitment to providing culturally competent, compassionate, patient-centered care.
