Back Office - Clinical assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our Pain Management Clinic. This role supports providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with acute and chronic pain conditions. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced clinical environment and with patient care. Responsibilities Greet, room, and prepare patients for visits in a professional and caring manner Take and record vital signs, pain scores, and basic patient history Prepare rooms ensuring cleanliness and proper supplies Assist with insurance verification and prior authorizations when needed Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Help coordinate imaging, referrals, procedure scheduling and follow-up appointments Provide basic patient education regarding procedures and aftercare instructions Answer phone calls and assist with patient questions or messages for providers Follow all HIPAA rules and maintain patient confidentiality Ensure proper documentation of MME Experience No certification required Previous healthcare experience is a plus but not required Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in with your team Reliable, punctual, and professional This job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
