We are looking for someone who wants to become part of a growing private practice where they will learn primary care, psychiatry, weight management, patient care coordination, and eventually help lead the clinical team. About the Practice Lotus Family Care is a small, private primary care and psychiatry practice focused on compassionate, individualized, whole-person care. We provide services in primary care, mental health, medication management, weight management, preventive care, and chronic disease management. Our clinic values professionalism, kindness, teamwork, reliability, patient privacy, and continuous improvement. What Makes This Role Different This is not a corporate clinic role. The MA will work closely with the provider and learn the full clinic flow from front desk to clinical care. The role includes patient interaction, rooming, vitals, injections, EKGs, medication reconciliation, psychiatry screening tools, prior authorizations, weight-loss support, scheduling, and daily clinic organization.

Administrative:
Answer phones, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments, update demographics, monitor patient portal messages, track referrals, process refill requests, and support prior authorizations.
Patient Experience:
Greet patients warmly, communicate clearly, maintain professionalism, reduce patient anxiety, protect confidentiality, and help patients understand next steps.
Leadership Track:
Eventually help manage daily clinic flow, inventory, morning huddles, task tracking, no-show follow-up, and training of future staff.
Requirements Must have:
Medical Assistant experience, strong communication skills, reliability, professionalism, comfort with EMR systems, ability to multitask, and willingness to learn.
Preferred:
Experience in primary care, psychiatry, weight-loss clinics, phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, prior authorizations, and insurance verification.
Nice to have:
Leadership experience, bilingual ability, experience with Tebra/Kareo, Freed AI, patient portals, or virtual assistants. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred or equivalent work experience. Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or AMT) preferred or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an outpatient medical office. Experience obtaining accurate vital signs and patient histories. Comfortable using Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Reliable transportation and excellent attendance. Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance). Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek assistance. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to assist patients with mobility when appropriate. Manual dexterity sufficient to perform injections, EKGs, specimen collection, and computer documentation. Ability to occasionally bend, squat, kneel, and reach overhead. Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
