Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your energetic approach and dedication will make a meaningful difference in patient care. In this vital role, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth clinic operations. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the process Support physicians during procedures by handing instruments, managing supplies, or administering medications under supervision Perform basic diagnostic tasks including X-ray imaging or assisting with other outpatient procedures in accordance with safety protocols Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, ICD coding for diagnoses, and procedural details for billing and recordkeeping Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, offering instructions on medication administration or post-procedure care, and ensuring a positive experience Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in clinical settings such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or specialty practices like dermatology or geriatrics Knowledge of anatomy and physiology principles relevant to inpatient and outpatient care environments Familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology essential for accurate documentation and communication Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ICD coding or medication administration are advantageous Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers or emergency medicine environments is preferred Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs collection, intake procedures, and assisting with X-ray or OR procedures when needed Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient service and support diverse patient populations across various medical disciplines Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering compassionate care while advancing your career in a vibrant healthcare setting.
