Contract Assignment Local Candidates Accepted Position Overview The Certified Medical Assistant performs a variety of patient care duties under the direction of a physician and supervision of licensed nursing staff within a correctional healthcare environment. This role supports clinical operations, patient care activities, specimen collection, medication assistance, documentation, and emergency response functions. Key Responsibilities Conduct peripheral venipuncture and prepare laboratory specimens Assist with oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medication administration Support nurses with EKGs, diagnostic testing, and clinical procedures Assist physicians during sick call and prepare examination areas Monitor, document, and report patient conditions and vital signs Assist with CPR, airway management, wound care, oxygen therapy, and catheterization Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required BLS Certification Required. Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work in a correctional healthcare environment Experience with: Telehealth Scanning Patient care procedures Medical documentation

Pay:
